This wallet has held up to over FOUR YEARS of extreme abuse. When I say extreme, I mean from dragging it across concrete, tossing it across every surface you can think of, anything someone could do to an $80 wallet that would make you believe it's a Dollar Tree wallet - I've done to it.
And the main reason I'm replacing the DTEX skin is not because it's falling apart - it can STILL hold my cards, it can still fold in one piece (even though the spine is starting to split) but simply because the elastic strap has worn out.
I was incredibly disappointed to see that the D03 Dapper in DTEX was not in stock, but then I found you can replace the DTEX cover and keep the frame. And that's what I'm doing because I love this wallet so much.
For the record - I ordered this wallet March 8th, 2022 and I'm finally replacing it on September 19th, 2026. Over four years, and my pictures are a true testament to just how well this wallet has survived absolute hell.
Dango, please never stop selling this wallet. And if you get the full wallet in DTEX back in stock, I'll buy it anyway.
Great quality very good replacement for the fabric one I had before the band that I ordered helps a lot with loose money being put into an easy access spot
Company was fantastic. I was in a hurry when I placed the order and added this to go with a D01 wallet. Emailed them and order was corrected before shipment.
Was hoping they would honor their “lifetime” warranty…. But instead was instructed to purchase a new skin for my wallet. Fitment on the new skin isn’t great. There is a bulge on the back. Went with leather to hope it would hold up longer than the not very durable fabric version I had.
I love my Dango D3 I’ve had it for a few years now and hasn’t failed me yet. With good solid quality materials I can see myself having it for years to come and it is also nice to know that I can replace what I need when the time comes. It fits perfectly in my front pocket and out of the way.
I was looking at some new wallet options as the DTEX fabric on my wallet was starting to wear down. And then I discovered that Dango is selling replacement Dapper sleeves. I ordered the leather to try it out. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I love it. It is great that these wallets are somewhat modular with replaceable parts. I am definitely a fan.
Bought to replace the black leather version of the wallet, this one looks to be more durable and will probably scuff less. My only concern is the leather one stretched to fit the cards in its pockets just right. This material grips the cards so tight I have difficulty getting them out of the pocket. Hoping that will loosen up. Other than that, like the item and am happy.
I swapped the DTEX from my D03 Lite Dapper to this black leather version. I love this clean, solid black look. The interior straps on this black leather definitely has a better feel compared to the DTEX.
