As Dango Products expands into different areas of everyday carry, we identified that writing, marking and drawing are timeless tasks that we perform on a daily basis. The design of the Dango Permanent Marker was derived from our original Dango Pen and Capsule collection. The cap and barrel is CNC Machined out of 6061 aerospace grade aluminum and stainless steel giving the pen a robust and substantial grip with a smooth anodized finish. The cap is equipped with multiple tethering points for hanging. The Dango Permanent Marker comes with the traditional and iconic Sharpie fine tipped felt pen (Sharpie included). Also on the cap is a removable clip/multi-tool that has a pointy edge for box cutting, opening shipment packages and envelopes.
Instructions: Dango Permanent Markers are included with standard fine tipped Sharpie pens. To install the marker, simply insert the bottom end of the Sharpie pen into the marker sleeve and tightly push downwards so that the Sharpie bottoms out in the marker sleeve. Once it is tightly secured, remove the cap of the Sharpie pen, and replace it with the CNC machined Dango Permenent Marker cap. The original sharpie cap can be discarded. To remove the Sharpie Pen, push the pen out from the bottom of the sleeve through the hole with the pointed tip of the cap or a thin object like a pen or allen wrench.

I may have a slight problem……….. Dango’s products are amazing and very well made. Over the past several years I have purchased a number of their products, starting with their Titanium M1 Maverick wallet in 2020, which I still use every day, and plan too for many more years. (I did just recently have to replace the DTEX pocket bi-fold after the screws started to pull through, but that was after 5 years!) I have never had an issue with any of the items I have received. If anything, the only time I have been disappointed is when they have temporarily sold out of something I want to buy. You know, first world problems and such. Keep making them the way you do! The world needs more businesses like you that make high quality, durable, and functional everyday use products.
P.S.: Looks like I now need to consider the pen tray for my Dango writing implements……..

Very sleek and ergonomic. I do wish the cap fit on the other end so there was somewhere to put it while you’re using it. That being said this is exactly what I needed and I would definitely recommend to anyone who constantly uses sharpies in their day to day.
I purchased this one because Dango was out of the of the pen that went with the wallet cover. I thought the marker would fit but it didn't. I love it and it is part of my EDC. With the sharp box opener on the end I wasn't sure if it would make it through TSA security so it stayed home for my London trip. It would be great if in the description it was noted if it is TSA friendly.
Answer my email about a bonk product that broke instantly. I carried a “heavy duty” sharpie for 4 hours and its clip broke. The actual product clip has never broke on me in 15 years…….
I like everything about it so far. It feels substantial but not heavy, finish is nice, well balanced in the hand during use.
One thing to note is that box opener on the clip is great except for pants pockets. It will stab you in the knuckle or hand if you’re not looking or going into your pocket for something else. No issues when used in a breast pocket.
Another note: as a clip fidgeter, I tend to unintentionally stress clips with my fingers as I handle the marker, chat, present, etc. Nothing extreme, just bending outwards to the extent of maybe 1/8” but repeatedly, as it would bend if going into the lip of a pocket. After one afternoon, the stainless steel clip developed cracks near the screws. It didnt break, but it would eventually. Somewhat expected the clip to be more durable, but I guess that’s why it’s removable. No failures or faults with the rest of it so far.
Last point I’ll make is it would be helpful if it came with a little bit to remove the screws.
It's a niche product but I have to open and write on a lot of boxes and this tool is perfect for both without needing to carry a full-blown utility knife. I was sad when Vital Carry closed and I hadn't bought their version of these but then I found Dango's and was pumped.
Awesome metal case to keep my sharpie in being a semi mechanic I’ve cracked countless sharpies having them in my pocket and bending over a frame rail and not being able to use it because it was cracked and leaking permanent marker all over my hand. Thank you!!!
Bought as a gift for my brother who has been looking for a sharpie with a metal clip. This did the trick! He’s very happy. I really appreciate that you can change out the marker as he prefers a fine point. Great product
I could not drive out the marker with a punch. The female section was too small for the Sharpie to fit in. I had to use Channel Locks to remove the marker that came with the unit. Took a rat tailed file and loosened up the fit and it seems OK now.
It's a great Sharpie holder with hardly any complaints. It would be nice to have a tapered tip or other form of cap holder while the marker is in use as to reduce or prevent loss of the cap.
A very well made addition to my daily loadout. The only concern i have is the marker did not want to come out, with the use of the pocket clip as advertised. i did however trim the tip just a skosh and it works like a dream. It very well may have been user error to be honest, i just take actions to simplify my daily life.
